The Biggest 2021 Style Trends Plus, How To Incorporate Them Into Real Life

Jumpsuit, shirt, shorts, top and skirt made in Bali

We welcomed 2021 with hope and a fresh perspective. What better (and more fun) way to welcome the new year than with new styles incorporated into our wardrobes. Spring/Summer 2021 runways are full of reds, oversized shirting, luxe materials, elevated loungewear, and a new shape of denim, to name a few. The new year is definitely looking great!

Here are our fave Spring/Summer 2021 trends plus, how we’ll style them IRL.

Trench Coats

Chandana Linen Jacket made in Bali

The classic British outerwear that has been reimagined over time is once again making our hearts flutter. From Loewe to Prada, we’ve spotted the classic trench coat in all cuts and shades imaginable. Our take on this trend? The Chandana Jacket that looks amazing when paired with dresses, jeans, or skirts.

Cool Shirting

Keva Shirt

Brands like Bottega Veneta, Valentino, and Maison Margiela re-introduced the chic style of shirting. This time, the classic Parisian piece comes in its oversized silhouette glory in the boldest of shades. In the real runway world, we love living in flowy shirts that are versatile enough to be paired with any bottom we have in our closets, yet cute enough for a dinner date over Zoom. We can see it styled with an Earth-toned hat and a pair of ankle boots for extra cool-girl style.

Springtime Florals

It’s hard to imagine Spring without a dash of florals here and there. As cliché as it may sound, Springtime calls for floral, feminine prints that look beautiful against any skin tone. Designers like Tom Ford and Carolina Herrera didn’t disappoint in incorporating florals into their collections.

Indi Top black and Amare Skirt summit black made in Bali

The LBD’s younger, sassier sister, the MBD, has gotten us head over heels. Runways from Victoria Beckham, Christopher Kane, and Michael Kors rendered a whole new look to the classic black dress. From cut-outs, sexy evening-style slip dress, and boho-chic fringe characters, this is the avant-garde piece that has been missing in your closet.

IRL, we love incorporating a little black skirt in our closets. Bonus sartorial points if it’s flowy and feminine like our Amare Skirt.

Chic Athleisure

Jumpsuit Vayu

With all the time we spend indoors, it’s just right to see lots of comfortable athleisure wear and loungewear in the SS ‘21 runways. We love to have a bit of fantasy in the real world so we’re listing jumpsuits under this. The utilitarian piece looks great with house slippers, booties, stilettos, or dad sneakers. We can’t get any dressy versatile than this.

Springtime Fabrics

Keva collar shirt and skyline shorts

Knits are big this season because of their cozy nature. We can lounge all day in them and go through our day with zero hassle (plus looking put-together with minimal effort). Apart from knits, we love everything comfortable and fabrics that are easy to move around in.

With us working from home, we can’t sacrifice comfort over style (and vice versa). With comfy pieces that are easy to style, such as our Skyline Shorts and Keva Shirt, we’re on our way to looking fabulous while keeping everything relaxed.

Trends to love now and forever

It’s fun to incorporate trends into our wardrobes every now and then. Our advice is to fill your closets with things that make you happy. When it comes to fashion, the only rule we should follow is “wear whatever makes you feel good” because when you feel good, you look good.
